Are you really Using your Voice?

If you've watched Pitch Perfect, you know Lilly, a member of The Bellas who often spoke inaudibly. Initially, you may wonder why she auditioned to join the musical group that frequently performed in front of a large audience. Although she rarely used her audible voice, it was clear she used her voice in various ways to contribute to the success of the group. Voice is not always spoken or loud.

One of the amazing gifts we all are born with is voice. It is not always verbalized but it sends a message, be it clear or unclear, verbal or non-verbal, written or graphic. Everyone has a voice and we can use it to accomplish remarkable things, such as to communicate, socialize, encourage, compliment, cheer, correct, teach, and so much more! Using your voice in a negative manner can cause harm or damage, which is indeed a waste of your gift.

In what ever ways you choose to use your voice, I hope it is for good.  You have a voice, use it!
